Responsible to support the Center for Army Analysis mission of conducting decision support analysis for senior level decision-makers as a campaign analyst and study director who leads or contributes to study teams of uniformed and DA civilian Operations Research analysts. Responsible for campaign analysis of Defense Planning Scenarios and geographic Combatant Command OPLANS. Areas of analysis concern operational campaign metrics of operational success, measures of joint weapons combat losses, Class V and Class VII expenditures and losses, casualties, CONOPS and allocated forces requirements and insights. Conducts Theater, Joint, and Combined campaign analysis for Combatant Command OPLANS and DOD Multi-Service Force Deployment planning scenarios. CAMPAIGN WARGAME ANALYST

Duty description:

Conducts theater, joint and combined campaign analyses across the spectrum of conflict in a Joint, Interagency, Intergovernmental, and Multinational (JIIM) context to inform critical senior leader decisions within the HQDA, Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, and OSD. Directs application of the operational art, wargaming and analytic methods to evaluate current and future warplans and warfighting capabilities against conventional and/or irregular adversaries; and to assess the warfighting capability of the Joint and combined military forces to meet operational and strategic ends. Coordinates the integration of analytic methods that include operational-level wargames, sophisticated quantitative and statistical techniques, and high-definition computer models and simulations to include the Center for Army Analysis Wargame Analysis Model (CAAAWS) and Joint Logistics Wargame Analysis Model (LOGJAM).
