Responsible to the Director, Personnel Risk and Resiliency for the full range of program activities necessary to advise the Secretary of Defense and his senior staff in support of decisions on aviation operational safety and readiness assessments, programs, and resources. Supports,advises, and participates in standing and ad hoc joint and/or inter-agency teams established to conduct DoD safety analyses and to provide advice in readiness and resources trends. Responsibilities include a broad range of analytical activities based on comprehensive understanding ofDoD operations and their readiness implications within the planning, programming, and budgeting system. ACCESSIONS SYS ANALYST

Duty description:

The primary duty of the position is to use various analytical techniques to forecast Regular Army enlistment bonus execution, recruiter requirements, and Army accession achievement during year of execution in order to inform Army Senior Leader decisions. Additionally, through analytical techniques, accurately track and report current status on Army recruiting, recruiting quality, enlistment waivers, recruiter strength, and enlistment bonus execution to Army Senior leaders to include VCSA, CSA and Secretary of the Army. Regularly work with an Army accessions database to answer requests for information (RFIs) from senior leaders, Congress and the media. This position provides ORSAs opportunities to use their analytical skills and access to interesting data more than the average FA49 position. Analysts have the opportunity to use creative techniques in modeling (seasonal regression, trend analysis, etc.) and database manipulation (SQL queries, data mining and data visualization).

ACTION OFFICER (J8)

Responsible for formulation, execution and analysis of qualitative war games to improve joint capability assessments and decision making. Plan and conduct joint war games, seminars and workshops sponsored by the CJCS.
